Our Unique Approach

Our staff has been where you are and knows what it takes to overcome life’s painful obstacles. That makes our approach different here at REN. REN is a community service agency (CSA) staffed by those who have walked in your shoes, and who are committed to helping those with behavioral health and/or challenges with substances navigate the road to wellness. We will be there hand in hand to support you.

Peer Recovery Specialists guide you through the state healthcare systems, and provide training and resources in order for our Members to function on their own in society. This 1:1 peer environment sets REN apart from traditional treatment programs, leading to long-term skills, enhanced clinical value and greater personal independence.

Peer to Peer Connection

All direct-care staff are people with personal experience in behavioral health and/or challenges with substances. They know the challenges, questions and stigmas our Members may face because they have walked in those shoes themselves. Yet, they also know a lot about milestones, recovery and hope. Our staff is passionate about the individual well-being of each Member and strives to personalize care to match their life circumstances.

Whole Person Belief

At REN, we believe that wellness is not the absence of disease, illness or stress but the presence of purpose in life, active involvement in satisfying work and play, joyful relationships, a healthy body and living environment, and happiness. This is based on the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) definition of wellness.

For more on this model and the eight wellness dimensions, please visit SAMHSA’s website.

SAMHSA Commitment

REN is dedicated to upholding the principles set forth by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) to “promote wellness for people with, or at risk for, mental and/or substance use disorders through screenings, education and other programs.”

Our Peer Recovery Specialists are committed to walking with you and sharing their experience with behavioral health challenges and/or challenges with substances to help promote your mind-body wellness and resiliency.

We are here for our Members, our Partners and our Community.
